Magic Garden Children’s Center located at 6 Ballfield Road is situated atop a quiet knoll on the Lincoln Schools’ expansive, bucolic campus.
Our Infant and Young Toddler Center is located at 14 Bedford Street, housed in the First Parish Church. Located on the 1st floor, we have direct access to our brand new Magic-Garden designed playground. Surrounded in nature, our views include a large open field. We observe changes over each season and delight in watching the tractor make hay and bundle it into giant “marshmallows” for transport.
Our colorful classrooms were completely renovated to our specifications and include high ceilings, age-appropriate furniture and fixtures, comfortable climate control, and large windows that look out over our playgrounds, gardens and woods. Each classroom provides separate areas for:
- group activities such as circle time, music and art projects
- exploration of sensory materials such as sand and water
- quiet time for reading and rest.
In addition to our safe, comfortable and flexible classrooms, we have use of the large exercise pod on campus where the children can enjoy tumbling and movement classes year round. We are located a short walk from the Lincoln Public Library, where the children attend Story Hour, the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, and Codman Farm and Community Gardens where the children walk to and tend their own plot.
We use three separate outdoor playground areas with swings, climbing structures, sandboxes and other toys. Each playground offers different developmentally appropriate activities. The walk to one playground takes the children through a wooded trail and over a creek filled with frogs and other natural elements.
