Messy, gooey, squishy! The afternoon Starlight Crew has been enjoying all things sensory. First, the children helped Ms. Karen and Ms. Alia create actual slime. Ew! Plunging their hands in, the children had an absolute blast rolling and stretching the substance. Forks, scissors and small cups were later introduced to further their investigation. They also had fun with Easy Dough. After mixing, the kiddos explored a variety of textures and color variations. Very fun and very hands-on!
During recent campus adventures, the Twilight friends began finding beautifully painted rocks left on pathways and playgrounds. Each totes a kind word or phrase such as “Peace,” “Breathe,” or “Just Be You.” The girls and boys wondered where these treasures came from! After a little snooping, Ms. Aislinn discovered that our neighbors, the LEAP Program, are currently embarking on a Kindness Rocks curriculum. The Twilight kiddos instantly expressed an interest in creating their own extension of kindness. After a Circle Time, discussion and brainstorming session, each child crafted their own “Kindness Card” for friends, teachers or family
