The afternoon Starlight crew has been crafting up a storm! Focusing on the concept of food and proper nutrition, our children followed multi-step instructions to construct some gorgeous pieces of art! For instance, after a yummy (and healthy) snack of watermelon chunks, our kiddos utilized paper plates, paint, and torn up tissue paper to create their own wonderful wedges. Delicious! On another occasion, the children sang the preschool classic, “On Top of Spaghetti” and then, crafted their own pasta dishes with yarn (noodles) and construction paper circles (meatballs). Besides having a blast with these art ventures, our students are exercising their listening skills, fine-motor strength and creative expression! Do visit our classroom displays!
