Can you smell that sweet smell? It’s all the discoveries being made in the Moonbeam Classroom. Wrapping up a “Five Senses” unit, our little learners explored smell! Throughout the day, our students have been drawn to scented sensory adventures (mint Play Dough), smelly science experiments (blindfolded smell tests) and stinking good story times. During Choice Time, the Moonbeam students each took turns exploring scent jars. Onion, basil and garlic were just some items utilized. The children were asked, “What is your favorite smell?” Practicing their math skills, the girls and boys all took part in a visual graphing activity. Among various choices, strawberries were the ultimate favorite. Coming up: outdoor winter fun!
