Fee fi fo fum! Moonbeam and the beanstalk! Recently, our students began exploring the world of seeds. Using plastic bags and damp paper towels, the students planted “magic” beans for the classroom “window garden.” Each day, our kiddos used magnifying glasses to observe the changes as germination ensued. One child said, “It’s cracking open!” Another claimed, “Mine is sleeping, I think. Right?” One student shouted, “Mine is growing hair on it!” Later, the Moonbeam friends investigated soil and gardening tools when transplanting their seedlings to small cups. Each day, our students water and care for their enchanted bean plants. Who knows? Maybe they will continue to grow, eventually reaching the clouds! Coming up: Moonbeam’s Annual Year End Celebration.
