Did you hear that? The Moonbeam children continue to explore the five senses, this month focusing on sound. During Circle Time, the children were asked, “Can we make a list of some sounds you hear at school or at home or outdoors?” The girls and boys were bursting with responses! One student said, “I hear my baby sister laughing when she wakes up. And sometimes she cries too.” Another child said, “I hear the classes singing and playing.” “You can hear rain on top of my house!” exclaimed another kiddo. During Choice Time, the students began creating their own musical instruments. Using cereal boxes and elastic bands, they crafted their own guitars and banjos. They delighted in playing and listening to their own strums and twangs. On another occasion, the girls and boys utilized paper plates and rice to create their own tambourines! Just listen! Learning and fun can always be heard in the Moonbeam Classroom!
